The Marketing of Cuban Medical Services S.A. (CSMC) presented this Wednesday its wide possibilities of services that include professionals abroad, academics and scientific events, medical care, for well-being and quality of life, associated with products, optical and pharmaceutical and border health.
When making the presentation, as part of the activities of the Havana International Fair (November 6 to 11), the president of CSMC, Yamila de Armas, explained in detail the benefits of the entity, among which she highlighted the attention to tourists who travel to the country for different treatments, including addictions and to improve the quality of life, for skin conditions such as vitiligo, for bariatric surgery and doctor check-ups, among others.
To this end, she added, Cuba has international clinics, medical offices in hotels and international medical care rooms, including the Cira García international clinic and Camilo Cienfuegos center, the latter especially to treat ophthalmological diseases. In another part of her speech, the executive spoke of CSMC's efforts aimed at achieving greater relationships with different companies that allow you to increase income, which will ultimately benefit the Cuban health system and, therefore, care for the population.
She said that “right now what is growing the most are our alliances with other organizations. We come to this fair with strategic alliances of companies and over 15 organizations to really come out as a country. Let it be the alliance and the country brand that identifiesof everyone.” She later referred to the investment projects of the sector, mentioned the interest of the Cuban diaspora in business and gave as an example an investor, without mentioning a name, that a neighboring country proposed the same business that we offer, working in a personalized medicine development project and he responded: for two reasons it has to be in Cuba. First because I am Cuban and second because of the doctors in Cuba, which demonstrates the confidence of investors in the Cuban health system.
She mentioned below some of the investment projects available, with great natural riches among them: San Miguel de los Baños y Menéndez (Matanzas), Rancho San Vicente (Pinar del Rio), Elguea and San Diego (Villa Clara) and San José del Lago (Sancti Spíritus). In another part of her speech she referred to the magnificent possibilities that the island offers to young foreigners who want to study medicine and regarding services to undergraduate and graduate academics. Just to mention a number, in the country there are 24 medical schools – not counting polytechnic centers – and in the last 25 years, nearly 40,000 doctors from nations in Asia, Africa and America have graduated.
Finally, she mentioned among the most innovative services the Telecounseling that constitutes a real-time video call service for patient health journey planning, with specialist advice; Teleconsultations, through which the patient is consulted in real time in search of health improvement, with interactive communication remotely with the doctor, complying with all privacy conditions and the Consultation of Telediagnosis, through the performance, transmission, interpretation and reading of complementary diagnostic tests.
