Cuban tourism advances in program to preserve health of clients and workers

The Cuban tourism industry advances in the implementation of Tourism + Hygiene and Safety (T + HS) program to preserve the health of workers and clients, informed the sector’s minister, Juan Carlos García Granda.

The note, published by García Granda on his official Twitter account, adds that to date 1,543 readiness certificates have been awarded, for a total of 2,164 installations.

This condition is awarded after the authorities verify that the staff of the aspiring tourist facility has trained the workers in the measures in terms of safety, hygiene and disinfection, derived from Covid-19.

It also includes the digitalization of processes in which customers intervene, as well as the review and adjustment of hygienic procedures, which incorporate the disinfection of all the steps to follow, while it is necessary to guarantee the stable supply of equipment and products necessary to carry out the appropriate measures.

All this must be approved by the country's Ministry of Public Health authorities in all areas of the buildings. These protocols also respond to the indications of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Tourism (UNWTO).
