Cubanacan Solidifies Its Position as a Leading Hotel Group in Cuba

Approaching its 39th anniversary, the Cubanacan Hotel Group remains a cornerstone of the island's tourism industry. This was reaffirmed this Friday during a presentation by Yaima Suárez, Vice President of Marketing, at the 44th edition of the FITCuba 2026 International Tourism Fair.

Speaking via the fair’s virtual platform, the executive detailed the group’s latest developments and competitive strengths. With a portfolio of 118 hotels and over 17,000 rooms nationwide, Cubanacan invites guests to experience a seamless connection between its properties and their surroundings, offering experiences that span sun and beach, nature, cultural heritage, and specialized events.

While its flagship offering remains "Sun and Beach"—leveraging the fact that 70% of its accommodations are prime beachfront properties featuring all-inclusive services—the group also boasts a significant presence in urban and nature destinations, including boutique accommodations in heritage cities such as Trinidad.

Suárez also highlighted the group’s most recent campaign, “Motivos Cubanacan” (Cubanacan Motives), which organized FAM (Familiarization) trips for travel professionals. These tours, conducted across western and central Cuba, allowed agents to experience firsthand the unique incentives that draw vacationers to the largest of the Antilles.

Looking ahead, Suárez announced that a major festival will be held from June 5 to 7 in the community of Las Terrazas, Pinar del Río. The event will honor the late Polo Montañez, the "Guajiro Natural," a legendary icon of Cuban music who passed away in 2002.

Furthermore, the group has launched a new package of benefits designed to enhance the guest experience through exclusive offers and bespoke services available across its hotel network.
