CubaPLUS Showcases Innovations at FITCuba 2026

Founded nearly 20 years ago as a tourism magazine through the shared vision of its director, Dominic Soave, and the Prensa Latina news agency, the Canadian publication CubaPLUS has consistently been at the forefront of the tourism sector in the Canadian market. For the past three decades, Canada has remained the primary source of tourists to Cuba, and CubaPLUS has, without exception, participated in every edition of FITCuba.

This year, despite the virtual format of the event, CubaPLUS returns with its characteristic energy to promote Cuba as a destination. This remains its core objective, now expanded beyond the Canadian market to include Latin America and the Caribbean, a focus that led to the creation of CubaPLUS Latinos (Spanish edition) a few years later.

Both editions are prominently featured on the platform of the 44th International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2026, where they can be downloaded for free. Simply access the platform's gallery: https://fitcuba.fevexpo.cu/galeria.

The latest editions, CubaPLUS (Vol. 68) and CubaPLUS Latinos (Vol. 50), are specially dedicated to FITCuba 2026.

In Volume 68, readers can find engaging articles, including one on sun and beach tourism that offers an overview of the country’s most iconic resorts like Santa Lucía (Camagüey), Guardalavaca (Holguín), and, of course, the premier destination in this category, Varadero. This edition also explores other fascinating and attractive sites on the island, such as Las Terrazas in Artemisa province and Havana’s emblematic Malecón. Additionally, it features compelling works on visual artist Boris Pérez and the fashion brand Línea & Medida, which enjoys wide appeal among women both in Cuba and abroad.

Meanwhile, CubaPLUS Latinos includes articles on the charming Havana neighborhood of Cojímar, famously favored by the great American writer Ernest Hemingway; the intriguing history of El Carmelo coffee plantation in Pinar del Río; and the magic encapsulated by the Casa de los Caracoles in southern Matanzas. Readers will also discover the work of engraver Diana Balboa and the footwear designs by Yaimara Muñoz Mata, affectionately known by those familiar with her work as "The Prodigious Shoemaker."

For those interested in exploring even more about the largest island in the Antilles, its customs, and its people, a single click on www.cubaplusmagazine.com will open up a world of discovery.
