The tenth edition of Expo Aladi-Cuba 2023 concluded Wednesday in Havana with excellent results, after three days of meetings between the participating businessmen, who were able to learn about numerous offers, explore new alliances and contact new suppliers.
Speaking at the closing of the conclave, the Undersecretary of Cooperation, Technical Assistance and Support for Countries with Less Relative Economic Development of the Latin American Association of Integration, Mónica Martínez Menduiño, highlighted the importance of the Macroround, which has has been the one with the largest number of small business owners throughout these 10 years. “We have become a reference for discovering, consolidating and making links between the business community of the nations of the region,” she said.
She later pointed out that on this occasion 2,369 business appointments were made, which will surely contribute to the strengthening of inter-regional trade relations, the value and the productive chains for the benefit of all.
For her part, the first vice minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Ana Teresita González also highlighted the good results of the meeting that show that in Latin America there are many potentials yet to be exploited to strengthen interregional trade , which this edition demonstrates.
It is a great honor for Cuba to have hosted this important event, which we have held with all possible efforts to receive them and provide them with warm attention. Next to the Secretary of Aladi, we have worked closely together for months to facilitate making appointments and guaranteeing the necessary services for your stay in Havana, which I hope we have achieved, she said.
Integration, she considered, is increasingly necessary for the region and this event has given a step in that direction. We hope everyone continues business relationships that have been initiated in this event for the good of our nations.
Our country will continue its work as a member of the Association, so both of you, businessmen and the secretary of Aladi, will be able to continue counting on Cuba, she assured.
Finally, she thanked the business community that attended Expo Aladi for their presence and finally invited them to participate in the 39th Havana International Fair that will take place from the 6th to 11th of next November.
