Four Meliá Cuba Properties Honored with HolidayCheck Awards

Meliá Trinidad Península—located on María Aguilar Beach within the Ancón Peninsula—alongside Meliá Las Américas and Paradisus Princesa del Mar in Varadero, and Sol Río de Luna y Mares at Esmeralda Beach in Holguín, have been granted the HolidayCheck Award 2026. This distinction ranks them among the premier choices for travelers from German-speaking countries.

According to a press release issued by Meliá Cuba this Thursday, the recognition is based on user reviews submitted to the HolidayCheck platform between December 1, 2024, and November 30, 2025, reflecting guests' authentic travel experiences.

The HolidayCheck Award is highly selective, granted to only ten properties per region each year. This achievement underscores the strong positioning of Meliá Cuba’s portfolio among tourists from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

In terms of specific ratings, Meliá Trinidad Península earned an impressive overall score of 5.6 out of 6. Meliá Las Américas followed with a 5.1 rating, while Paradisus Princesa del Mar and Sol Río de Luna y Mares both secured a solid 4.7.

With a presence in Cuba spanning over 30 years, the Spanish hotel chain Meliá now manages more than 35 hotels and 14,800 rooms across key destinations, including Havana, Varadero, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Coco, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos.
