Give thanks: the magical conjunction of actions and words

In recent years, every January 11 has been identified internationally as Thanksgiving Day, without being called by any official organization and without knowing the reasons for choosing such a date.

But it is a praiseworthy purpose, which is gradually gaining followers, if it is not only about promoting the use of the word Thank you! Or &You are very kind", in the appropriate language. It is true that such a response shows education and kindness, but it is necessary to go further, promoting actions that demonstrate how much we value the help, commitment, wisdom, services and kindness that others have given us, however simple and humble they may seem to us.

Give thanks: the magical conjunction of actions and words

We also reciprocate with altruistic gestures, without expecting a reward.Starting with the word thank you, cordiality and a smile is the starting point and should not be missing.Luckily now humans, Cubans among them, understand the matter with a more comprehensive approach that includes giving thanks to life, family love, the planet and nature, taking better care of them and giving them back with concrete actions and projects that forgeunity and laws of conservation, the real gratitude to everything that surrounds us and we enjoy without realizing it.

But that holistic and superior approach must increase and gain in popularity. Some experts are right who advise certain depressed humans without faith in the present and in the future to make a list of the issues  they have to thank life for, their communities, their peers and their country of origin, or the world. God they believe. Something that often goes unappreciated, not because of malice or indifference, because of the dizzying speed with which life is lived and the sometimes unhealthy anxiety that modern technology instill suggestive formulas for immediate personal success.

Those that tend to isolate usin the midst of large crowds with the assumption that everyone is highly connected. In the case of compatriots, with a tradition and practice of sharing what is simple and humble that they share with other peoples of the world, and being ready to come to the rescue in the face of attacks by virulent diseases or natural catastrophes, such actions are also understood as gestures ofthanks to humanity.

However, in the field of casual dialogue and everyday conversation, it is necessary to resort more to that magical word that brings so much comfort and peace to hearts. Here are the words of National Hero José Martí when he said: "The sun burns with the same light with which it shines. The sun has spots. The grateful see the light. The ungrateful see the spots."
