Good News: Cuba Remains Accessible for Canadian Travelers

Canadian travelers can continue to visit Cuba for both leisure and health tourism through several available transit options, despite the temporary suspension of direct flights from Canada until April 26.

According to information released by Cuba Medical Tourism, Canadians can still reach the island via the following connections:
• American Airlines: Via Miami to Havana, Santa Clara, Camagüey, and Holguín.
• Copa Airlines: Via Panama City to Havana.
• Aeroméxico: Via Mexico City to Havana.

The Viazul bus network continues to provide inter-city service; although operating on a reduced schedule, travelers can securely book their seats online through the company’s official website.

Additionally, Canadians can still book all-inclusive hotel packages through Hola Sun. These packages include transfers to resorts in Varadero and other key destinations across the island, including Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Camagüey, Holguín, and Santiago de Cuba, where all-inclusive accommodations are available.

Prospective travelers are reminded to apply for their eVisa via the official Cuban government website at least 72 hours prior to departure and to complete the mandatory D’Viajeros form before travel.

For bookings and further information, you may contact Hola Sun directly via email at sales@holasunholidays.ca or groups@holasunholidays.ca, or by phone at 905.882.0136, ext. 434.
