Cayo Coco, in Jardines del Rey, north of the province of Ciego de Ávila, has among its emblematic places that of Güira, a dream place because it is located in the middle of the Cuban countryside, where nature lovers can enjoy a quiet vacation, away from the hustle and bustle of city dwellers.

The proximity of the Güira to the hotel zone of Cayo Coco makes it easy to get to the wonderful beaches of that islet and visit the ruins of the old settlement, where there were around 600 men at the beginning of the 20th century, when vegetable coal production was booming.
Those who love nature find a spectacular place at La Güira, where they can enjoy the landscapes that offer forests full of trees of that fruit -hence the name of the place—, mangroves and interior lagoons, each with its associated fauna.

Parakeets, blackbirds, chichinguacos, and parakeets also live in the area. Zunzún and even an exclusive subspecies of marsh goat, green woodpeckers, scapular or jabao that can be widely observed.
