Haunted House, No: Unusual

No suspicions, the physics and the great talent of the architect who conceived and helped to create it, Domingo Alás Rossel, make this building originally erected in the city of Las Tunas, province of the same name, a recreational place and a fascinating project wherevery unusual optical and perceptual phenomena:astonishment.

Haunted house in CubaExpertly used science and architecture resulted in this versatile project that immediately seduces the newcomer, because who is not fascinated by something that smacks of a bit of mystery, even if reason and science and technology come later to explain it?

And it is that this strange house, at first somewhat novel and then very scientific, shows surprising things such as the sensation of a disturbing inclination of its physical space, which in the end gives uncertainty, and other phenomena that are related to the force of gravity.

Be careful, everything is fun there, nothing makes your hair stand on end. The building, which above all attracts many children and young people, already from a distance gives a strange impression, which, far from repelling, attracts. And once inside, surprising or illogical observations follow one another:

The already mentioned inclination is the work of the complex position of the blocks, the lining of the walls and certain actions from the constructive point of view. The architect, born in Las Tunas in 1950, has created works where he combines physics with architecture.

Examples: the Plaza Martiana solar monuments in Las Tunas and the Caimito del Hanábana Memorial in Matanzas, dedicated to José Martí.The author assures that his work is a sort of great experiment that generates unusual sensations that confuse or deceive the senses of visitors.Hence the magical or haunting illusion told by some slightly awed.

But there are more who spend pleasant moments of fun in this unreal place. La Casa opened its doors in 2013. Endowed with five rooms or chambers named Galileo Galilei, Pythagoras of Samos, Isaac Newton, Archimedes of Syracuse and Leonardo da Vinci.

There you will be able to see an inclined pool table that works perfectly, fish that swim on an inclined plane, rising water, pendulums that do not move properly, and a sofa where you sit and cannot get up on your own, without the help of anotherperson.

There are more oddities of those considered inexplicable, but they are not so much. We leave it with the curiosity of going to meet them, if one is offered the opportunity. There are few unusual houses like these, although they do exist, throughout the world.
