Havana was chosen as the best destination and cruiser port in the Western Caribbean and the Rivera Maya, according to the results of an international contest, announced by Cruise Critic.This website of cruise comments and cruise community on line in the world, announced the winners of its third contest Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards, naming the most popular cruise destinations worldwide, based entirely on the opinions of consumers sent with reports in Cruise Critic.
According to the nomination, the prizes select the best cruise destinations in 18 regions all over the world and they also highlight the best cruiser lines to visit each region. While the international cruiser lines have visited Cuba for a long time, the U.S. passengers only have been visiting it legally since 2016. At present a total 17 cruiser lines visit this island. Cruise Critic also named Havana as the port with greater audience in the western Caribbean and the Rivera Maya. That website has the largest cruiser communities online of the world, with over 350 thousand reports of those boats, covering about 500 cruise ships and over 300 ports.
