Havana Club confirms its seal of excellence with new awards

Havana Club, the rum of Cuba, strengthened its seal of excellence worldwide, by achieving another 7 awards in international competitions, bringing the total number of awards obtained this year to 50 and a total of 510 since 1994.

havana-club-cuba-ratifica-2.jpgAccording to a press release from the entity, these recognitions, in addition to corroborating the indisputable quality of the brand's rums, place it as the most awarded in Cuba, and among them the Premium and Super Premium 1 rums stand out.

The recognitions achieved were in the The Spirits Business Luxury Spirits Awards 2024 and The Drinks Business/Spirits Business Autumn Tasting 2024 competitions, with the following results:

In the first competition, Havana Club Gran Reserva Añejo 15 Años and Havana Club Tributo 2023 won Gold, while in the second, Havana Club Gran Reserva Añejo 15 Años achieved the MAESTRO category, while the gold medal went to Havana Club Cuban Smoky, Havana Club Añejo 7 Años and Havana Club Original Añejo 3 Años and the silver medal went to Havana Club Añejo Especial.

The joint venture Havana Club International S.A. was created in November 1993 by Cuba Ron S.A., responsible for the production of this drink, and the French Group Pernod Ricard, with the aim of developing the brand on an international scale.

Since 1994, Havana Club has been a priority for Pernod Ricard, and today it is one of the Group's 13 main spirits brands. The world leader in Super Premium and Superior rums, it is the third international rum brand in the world and is exported to more than 125 countries around the world, except the USA, where Cuban products are prohibited due to the trade embargo.
