Havana Club consolidated among the best rums in the world with new medals
Havana Club, the flagship brand of Cuban rums, continues to consolidate its indisputable quality among the best spirits in the world by obtaining new awards in the prestigious Meiningers International Spirits Award.
Havana Club Cuban Spiced won a gold medal on this occasion and was also crowned Spirit of the Year Rum, while Maestros Selection also won a gold medal, according to information released this Friday by the company. With these awards, the renowned brand already adds, this year alone, 47 medals, while totaling the not insignificant figure of 383 medals from 1994 to the present.
The Meiningers International SpiritsAward is a prestigious international competition, held in Germany, for spirits, fine brandies, liqueurs, wines and mixed drinks from around the world with the aim of promoting the quality and increasing sales of the products presented.
An international panel of judges, specialists in the field, is in charge of evaluating the competing beverages independently and impartially, which guarantees the seriousness and professionalism of the competition.
The prizes awarded at the contest give both the winning beverages and their producers high international recognition. The mixed venture Havana Club International S.A. was created in November 1993 by CubaRon S.A. and the French group PernodRicard, with the aim of developing sales internationally.
It is the third most important rum brand in the world, excluding the United States, and the world leader in the category of super premium and superior rums.
