HAVANATUR WILL SELL AMERICAN AIRLINES TICKETS IN CUBA

Havanatur offices in Cuba will sell from today tickets of American Airlines flights, according to an agreement signed between both companies.

A press release of Havanatur says the agreement was celebrated at a gathering in the Xanadu Mansion in Varadero, during which the Manager for Cuba of that airline said that “today, two years after our first flight, we are proud to continue growing in the country. Recently, we started operating a fifth daily flight between Havana and Miami, and next year we will be inaugurating a new daily flight between Miami and Santiago de Cuba, becoming our sixth destination in the country, and we will be the only airline serving this destination of high importance in Cuba”.

Later on he added that “our growth continues. Today, we celebrate together with you, our new agreement with Havanatur, leader tour operator in Cuba, allowing us to sell American tickets throughout the country. This is very important for us, as it will continue strengthening our position as the leader U.S. airline in the country”.

In the celebration were also present for American Airlines, Alfredo Gonzalez, regional director for the Caribbean, Domenico Matinata, Senior Sales Manager for Florida and the Caribbean and Marvin Alvarez, Sales Manager for the Caribbean. Havanatur was represented by Ivonne Carballo, Director General of Havanatur Varadero; Erick Gómez, Director of Air Operations; and Magdalena Muñoz Arteaga, Responsible for the Commercial Area of Airlnes..

American operates 10 daily flights to Cuba, with routes Miami to Havana, Camaguey, Holguín, Santa Clara and Varadero, and from Charlotte, North Carolina to Havana.

Starting from May 3rd 2019, the airline will start service to its sixth destination in the country, Santiago de Cuba, with a daily flight to Miami.
