45 years after its creation, the tour operator par excellence of the Cuba destination, Havanatur S.A. is preparing to develop new programs to promote multi-destination in the Caribbean and the alliances with airlines and travel agencies. This was expressed this Monday by its general director, Yoelkis Salazar, during the celebration of the anniversary of the entity it represents, held at the Habana Café, in the capital hotel Meliá Cohíba in the presence of collaborators, representatives of tourism organizations and the specialized press, among other guests.

Later, he pointed out that this tour operator, also known as the Cuban specialist, has consolidated itself as a leader in all these years through its network of tour operators and agencies representative  agencies in the world, providing specialized assistance, with the aim of maintaining customer acceptance and the growth of tourism emissions.

He also said that in a year like the current one, of challenges for this tour operator, he has worked on after recovering the participation quotas at the group level in relation to the arrivals of visitors to Cuba to reach figures higher than those of 2022. For this reason, Havanatur launched its new campaign “Dare to Live it-Cuba awaits you”,  a solid communication strategy has been achieved, focused on digital platforms and mobile devices to ensure that the message has a great impact on different generational groups, he noted.

In another part of his speech, Salazar explained that Havanatur is also working to attract new events, since it has the appropriate conditions for this and cited among them the International University Congress, the International Habano Festival and others specialized in activities such as sports and culture.

During the celebration, which featured a performance by the Buena Fe Duo, creator of the song of the entity's communication campaign and the singer Willi Campa, the executive recognized the support provided to Havanatur in these 45 years by its collaborators.

Created in 1978, the International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies Havanatur S.A. -one hundred percent Cuban- had the purpose of promoting Cuba as a unique destination, commitment that continues to be its reason for being, working every day with greater zeal in the diversification and redesign of its products.
