With less than 48 hours to go until the 44th edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2026, anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. Tour operators, travel agents, industry professionals, and the general public are closely monitoring social media for every detail regarding this premier event.
For the first time, the fair will adopt a hybrid format: virtual sessions for professional exchange and an in-person closing day for the general public. This modern approach is particularly attractive, as it allows a high volume of international participants to explore Cuba’s tourism offerings, negotiate contracts, and hold meetings from the comfort of their own homes.
While the exact number of attendees is still being finalized, a vast number of professionals from numerous countries have already been accredited. Furthermore, a wide array of national and international agencies and entities related to the sector have booked virtual stands to showcase their products and services.
The opening day, following the official inauguration, will feature presentations on several key destinations, including major updates for Varadero and Havana. That same day, international hotel chains—such as Meliá, Iberostar, Blue Diamond, Axel, Archipelago, Valentín, Barceló, ATG, MGM Muthu, and Vita Gale—will unveil their latest offerings. Additionally, Ecotur and Cubadeportes will present their specialized products, concluding the day with a raffle and contests organized by CubaSol.
The second day will focus on national hotel chains, including Gaviota Group, Cubanacán, Gran Caribe, Islazul, and Campismo Popular. Niche tourism will also take center stage: San Cristóbal will present urban tourism packages, Gaviota Tours will highlight nature-based travel, Paradiso will focus on cultural events, and Cuban Medical Services (CSMC) will showcase health and wellness programs.
The second day’s agenda also includes various cultural activities and virtual agency tours. In the afternoon, the fair will hold its official closing ceremony, where winners of the Communications Awards will be announced, followed by the invitation to the 45th edition of FITCuba 2027.
The third and final day—widely anticipated as a grand finale—will take place at Varadero’s iconic Josone Park. This event will feature activities for all ages and a star-studded musical lineup showcasing Cuba’s finest talent, including the acclaimed duo Buena Fe and the legendary orchestra Los Van Van. The night will conclude with a performance by Wampi, the Cuban urban artist who has achieved significant national and international popularity.
