With the recovery of almost all hotel and recreational facilities harmed by hurricane Irma, the Hotel and Tourism Workers’ Day was celebrated in the Cuban resort of Jardines del Rey.
In the act to commemorate this date in the hotel Tryp Cayo Coco, officials of this sector praised the effort of workers to return rapidly the hotels of keys Coco and Guillermo to rendering their usual services after being hit by hurricane Irma last September, with damages to 70 percent of the infrastructure.
Located in the northern keys along the coast of the central province of Ciego de Avila, the resort offers today services to national and international tourists with all its hotel and extra-hotel facilities refurbished, with better conditions and a new image.
At this moment, the over eight thousand 49 rooms of the 18 hotels, accommodate some 12 thousand 700 tourists of different nationalities, putting occupation at a satisfactory level in the present winter season.
Also, the international airport of Cayo Coco receives 58 flights per week coming from Russia, England, Italy, Argentina and Canada, the latter with the highest number of itineraries, taking into account it is the number one emitting market of visitors to the region.
Jardines del Rey, one of the main sun and beach Cuban destinations, celebrated last weekend its first carnival, a space that offers the visitor a privileged opportunity to know more about the culture and traditions of this province.
