Iberostar Reaffirms Commitment to Cuban Tourism

The Spanish hotel chain Iberostar reiterated its commitment to Cuban tourism this Thursday and confirmed plans demonstrating this strategy.

A message distributed during the 18th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism (June 16-20, Havana) reaffirmed its plans to collaborate with the recovery of the travel industry in this country.

Iberostar indicated that it is leaning towards growth in the urban segment, with the new star of its portfolio located in the capital, Havana.

Furthermore, they are targeting executive areas in Havana hotels and inviting travelers to journey to another dimension, while reaffirming a policy of sustainability.

Iberostar showcased these lines of work at the International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2025) held last May.

In harmony with a strategic vision that places increasing importance on the urban segment, one in five of the hotel chain's rooms is located in the city environments of Havana and Trinidad.

They indicated that three of their hotels are located in the vicinity of the historic center of Old Havana, declared a World Heritage Site together with its system of fortifications by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1982.

From their terraces, one can admire the vast and diverse architectural and cultural repertoire of the great city.

Flanking the Paseo del Prado is the Iberostar Gran Packard, a synthesis of respect for tradition and a vocation for modernity from a superior accommodation experience. Meanwhile, the Iberostar Selection Parque Central, and the Iberostar Marqués de la Torre, formerly a modern tower of the Selection Parque Central and now an independent hotel, add to the capital's rhythms.

Meanwhile, in the south-central part of the island, the town of Santísima Trinidad, the third founded in Cuba by the adelantado Diego Velázquez in 1514, dazzles travelers with its palaces. It is a city with its own personality that the most adventurous visitors can get to know from their stay at the Iberostar Grand Trinidad, a jewel of 40 rooms with high levels of service, located right in front of the Parque Céspedes of the town.

They then emphasize the new star of the portfolio: Iberostar Selection La Habana, which, with its 42 floors rising to 155 meters, is an expression of the friendly spirit of a city where the most diverse styles, sensations, and rhythms coexist.

Right on Calle 23, a cinematographic artery par excellence, the city now has a hotel to match, the Iberostar chain emphasizes.

They indicate that three of their hotels in Havana have executive areas, in which guests can enjoy superior levels of accommodation.

These are the cases of the Cosmos Level, with 61 rooms in the Iberostar Grand Packard, the Capitol Level, 90 rooms in the Iberostar Selection Parque Central, and the Elite Sky Level, 140 rooms between the 33rd and 40th floors of the Iberostar Selection La Habana.

The message reiterates that Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts is a leading hotel chain that promotes a responsible tourism model focused on caring for people and the environment. It has 20 4- and 5-star hotels located in Cuba's main tourist destinations.

The company offers five hotels in the heart of Havana and 14 on the shores of beaches in places like Varadero, Cayo Cruz, Cayo Ensenachos, Cayo Guillermo and Holguín.

The note concludes by pointing out that its guests can immerse themselves in the history and tradition of the city of Trinidad, as well as enjoy all-inclusive vacations with family, as a couple, or with friends.
