Today we continue the tour that we began several days ago around the island to show the most beautiful landscapes that make up the majority of the Antilles and that if you visit you must not miss.
Ciénaga de Zapata
One of the most surprising trips to Cuba is related to the Ciénaga de Zapata, an important wetland, with a great record of flora and fauna, a true Cuban festival for travelers looking for adventure and an active rest.
This is a tour of one of the most interesting places in Cuba, in the southwestern region of the island, with an exceptional panorama of various types of wetland ecosystems.
To savour a wetland constitutes a novel proposal, full of color and surprises. It is about one of the most interesting places in Cuba, in the south-western region of the island, with an exceptional panorama of various types of rainforest ecosystems. Site of low plains, wetlands located on deposits of turf and calcareous rock, with hydromorphic soils and natural savannah vegetation. The Treasure Lagoon and the basin of Río Hatiguanico, the main fluvial route of the area, Playa Larga and Playa Girón, the crocodile breeding grounds and other places constitute a great attraction for those who enjoy natural tourism.
Cayo Largo del Sur
Cayo Largo del Sur was at one time an isolated corner of Cuba. Endowed with a particular color, its beaches and hideaways represent a space worthy of tourism and environmental protection. Located in the southwestern part of Cuba, it has history, magic and a future ahead that the tourist authorities want to show, above all through elements such as underwater photography, walks and the most active holidays possible.
Located in the most eastern extreme of Los Canarreos, it belongs to the jurisdiction of Isla de la Juventud, whose capital lies about 135 km away. In its small space of 37,5 km and 25 kilometers in length, almost entirely formed by paradisiacal oversalted beaches such as the joys of Playa Paraíso, which next to Sirena is the most accessible for tourism.
In addition, there is Playa Lindamar, to the south, very close to the complex Villa Lindamar. In these islets there exist arenas with conditions for bathing, although not within the tourist projects due to the balance in the preservation of the ecosystem, still more virginal, like the Playa Punta Mal Tiempo (in the southeast), Playa Blanca, Playa Los Cocos and Playa Tortuga (to the east) and Playa Luna, to the north of Cayo Largo.
