Inaugurated Canadian Pavilion at FIHAV 2018

With the Cuban Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero Cruz, present, was inaugurated the Pavilion of Canada at the 36th International Havana Fair scheduled to be open until November 2, at the Expocuba fair grounds.
When speaking at the ceremony, Minister Marrero highlighted the commercial links between both nations and said this edition of FIHAV allows expressing the economic links between both countries, evidenced in the participation of over 70 Canadian enterprises in this fair.
Later he said that the commercial Exchange between the two nations registered an annual rate of 19.2 percent at the end of 2017, for a total of 700.4 million dollars, placing Canada as fourth biggest trade partner of Cuba.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Cuba, extolled the good relations of both countries for over 70 years, as well as the fruitful bilateral cooperation carried out in sectors so important as energy, construction and tourism.
The 36th edition of the International Havana Fair, has an attendance of over three thousand businesspeople of some 65 countries and is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Cuban capital, to be marked on November 16, 2019.
