The II International Transport and Logistics Fair, FITL 2024, was inaugurated this Wednesday in the capital's Pabexpo venue with the presence of the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz.
Speaking at the opening, the Minister of Transportation, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, signified the importance of the event, considering it a necessary meeting point for the professionals in the sector. The event, which will take place until next Friday, has as its fundamental objective the promotion of economic development, promoting foreign direct investment, stimulating international cooperation, to achieve financing for infrastructure, expand networks supply of materials and modernize the national industry. It also seeks to promote import substitution, improve logistics performance of the country, share experiences in these branches and encourage the use of new technologies.
This meeting includes an extensive program of conferences and panels where they will address important topics related to the sector, as well as the project portfolio will be presented for international cooperation in transportation, while exhibitors will be able to hold negotiations to promote your products and services and generate new contacts or reinforce those already established.
During the last edition of FITL in October 2022, 78 national and foreign exhibitors , including 11 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and they signed nearly 40 trade agreements.
