The International Handicraft Fair (FIART) will begin next Friday

The XXVI edition of the International Handicraft Fair (FIART) 2024 will begin next Friday, December 6, with the participation of 230 national and 30 foreign exhibitors, organizers reported this Friday.

The event that will take place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds until the 22nd includes a wide program of activities, in addition to the artisans' exhibitions that will include footwear, textiles, jewelry and decorative items, among other pieces.

As part of the activities, workshops and exchanges will be held on the appreciation of art and culture, doll making, weaving and papier-mâché. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy fashion shows, Mexican music and exchanges of experiences between Cuban and foreign designers, especially regarding their skills with textiles and accessories, among many other pieces.

The program also includes a panel on the TelArte project, led by creators from the province of Villa Clara, which will focus on an event that has promoted Cuban artisanal fashion since the 1980s. As in previous years, Fiart, organized by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets, will award prizes in the Product and Stand categories and will grant the Recognition for Life's Work.
