For the second consecutive year, the city of Santa Clara will serve as one of the stages for the XLI International Jazz Plaza Festival, announced its organizers during a press conference. In addition to main venues in Havana and Santiago de Cuba, this edition will bring together renowned musicians and jazz enthusiasts from January 25th through February 1st in Santa Clara with concerts and other events.

The festival will also feature encounters between generations, workshops, and cultural activities involving over 220 artists from nearly twenty countries including France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, United States, Italy, Lithuania, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Taiwan, Austria, Canada, Greece, and China.

In particular, the celebration honors two great creators born in the province of Villa Clara: late musician José Luis Cortés and painter Alfredo Sosabravo, natives of Santa Clara and Sagua la Grande respectively.

Among those attending are trumpeter Yasek Manzano, Roberto Fortún, Orquesta Aragón, Toques del Río, Samin, Mikel Quartet, Steel Band del Cobre, Septeto Santiaguero, Síntesis, among others.

Additionally, the event is part of the Alliance of Silk Road Arts Festivals thanks to support from the People's Republic of China's embassy on the island.

Concerts, colloquia, and master classes will take place at locations such as the El Mejunje Cultural Center, Portico Gallery of the Hermanos Saíz Association, Museum of Decorative Arts, local headquarters of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), and parks like Leoncio Vidal and Las Arcadas.
