The 17th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism will be held from next June 17 to 21 in the Cuban capital with the objective of analyzing once again the trends of the called leisure and communication industry with emphasis on the role of sustainability and heritage in the development of this important economic sector.
The meeting, convened by the José Martí International Institute of Journalism, is directed to journalists, communicators, community managers and other professionals with the aim of debating these topics in conferences, panels and exhibitions. Professors, experts and representatives of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism and various chains of hotel companies will participate in the conferences and debates of the seminar, whose program includes also visits to hotels and centers of cultural interest in Havana, as well as enjoy a night at the famous Tropicana cabaret show.
Likewise, guests and participants from Latin America and the Caribbean will also examine the information and communication channels and options that, with social networks, have emerged for specialized communication and will analyze the prominence of information technologies, information and communication (ICTs) in the sustainability of tourism, heritage and culture.
