International Transport Fair will be held next September
The International Transport and Logistics Fair (FITL 2022) will be held from September 27 to 29 at the PABEXPO campus with the aim of boosting this important sector of the national economy, publicizing new business opportunities and foreign investment.
At a press conference offered this Wednesday, Naima Alfonso Acosta, Vice Minister of Transportation, also mentioned among the purposes of the meeting to encourage the development of different actors in the economy, promote foreign direct investment and international cooperation.
She also pointed out that this meeting will serve to consolidate the projects that currently exist in the sector, as well as those that are under negotiation, while new business opportunities between national and foreign actors can be identified.
During her speech, which was attended by the national and foreign press and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Cuba, Alfonso Acosta said that among the main issues to be addressed will be the sustainable mobility of passengers and cargo, modernization of transport means and infrastructure, use of renewable energies, repair and manufacture of spare parts and aggregates, efficiency of supply chains and logistics in general, as well as new technologies associated with services.
On the other hand, participants to the Fair will also have the opportunity to learn about the portfolio of projects for international cooperation aimed at solving sustainable mobility of goods and people and the development of land, air and maritime-port infrastructures, she said.
So far, the deputy minister announced they have confirmed the presence with stands representing companies from various countries, including Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, Italy and the Netherlands.
The fair, convened by the Ministry of Transport, is organized by FIRA Barcelona and the Palco Group.
