The IV International Fair of Food, Beverages, Packaging and Food Technology (Cuba 2024) was inaugurated this Tuesday in the halls of Pabexpo, with the aim of promoting foreign investment in the sector based on new business opportunities.
Speaking at the opening, the island's Minister of the Food Industry, Alberto López Díaz, welcomed participants and highlighted the presence of national and foreign companies in the exhibition, which strengthens the links between these entities and, at the same time, it accompanies Cuba's will in the search for alternatives for the people, even in the most complex contexts.
This fair is developed with the objective of contributing to adequate and healthy nutrition, which constitutes the main mission of the authorities of the sector, said López Díaz.
During the three days of the meeting, the attending business community will be able to exchange numerous topics related to the sector, as well as learning about Cuba's potential in that branch for the international market.
Also attending the opening were Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Vice Prime Minister, Antonio Carricarte, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, other officials of the sector, as well as a representation of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
This IV edition that will conclude next Thursday, is sponsored by the Ministry of the Food Industry, FIRA Barcelona, the Palco Business Group and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce.
