Lynn sings Sindo... Trova it's alive!

Cuban singer Lynn Milanés presented a tribute album to keep alive the song and poetry of iconic trobadour Sindo Garay. "Lynn canta a Sindo" offers 20 works sung by the artist, who playy a duet with her father, Pablo Milanés, in Amargas verdades, Tormento fiero, Guarina and La tarde.

disco.jpgThe release of the album celebrates the 45th anniversary of the founding of the cultural and musical movement La Nueva Trova, during the 23rd edition of the Festival of Cubania, in the eastern village of Bayamo, bithplace of the Milanés musical family.The tribute includes classics such as Tardes grises, Sabes lo que es un beso, Perla Marina, Mujer bayamesa and Ojos verdes de la sirena. Sindo, considered a genius beyond ages, influenced the core of Cuban trova.Recorded at PM Records studios from January to August 2014, the CD is a production of Habana Radio, a station attached to the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana. Lynn also exchanged with troubadours Marta Campos, Pepe Ordaz, Augusto Blanca, Pedro Veritán and the poet Luis Carlos Súrez.
