The Spanish’s hotel chain Melia Hotels has just begun operations in four new hotels in Cienfuegos and Camaguey provinces, this way the company strengthens its presence in the Cuba’s main destinations.
According to a press release expressed by the company, between the current year and 2019 they aim to add other two hotel facilities in those destinations to consolidate the cultural and heritage tourism, bearing in mind that Cienfuegos and Camaguey have been recognized as Humanity's Cultural Heritage by the United Nations for Education, Sciences and Culture Organization (UNESCO).
In Cienfuegos, the hotels Jagua and La Union, already operate under Melia brand, at the same time soon enough will open its doors the totally renewed Melia San Carlos. The Jagua Hotel which includes the villages Casa Verde (Green House), Casa Perla (Pearl House) and Palacio Azul (Blue Palace), will be fully renewed to suit this facility to the INNSIDE brand’s standards.
In the case of the Union hotel will be suit to the Melia Hotels and Resorts’ standards.
On the other hand, in Camaguey, El Gran Hotel (Great Hotel) and the Hotel Colon (Columbus Hotel) already operates under Melia brand which soon will expand its presence in that city with the management of the Camagüey hotel also under the INNSIDE brand. As much the Great Hotel as the Columbus hotel will be renewed to the Melí Hotels Resorts’ standards, to become them into Melia Great Hotel and Melia Colon.
These openings constitute a significant step forward in the connection east-west, as well as in the route between the tourist resorts Jardines del Rey and Holguín.
