Mijaín López will go to Paris for his fifth Olympic championship

The four times Olympic Champion of Greek-Roman Wrestling, Cuban Mijaín López, will go for his fifth title in the next summer event  in Paris 2024, as he officially announced.

According to information released by the World Union of Wrestling (WUW) on their social networks, the ebony giant, as he is also known, said: "I will return to fight at the @paris2024 Olympic Games.

I want to become the first fighter to win five Olympic gold medals. A native of the western province of Pinar del Rio, Mijain Lopez at just 10 years of age, he began to wrestle and today, three decades later, he is a Glory of the Cuban sport.

He holds four Pan American championships, five world championships and is a four-time Olympic champion. Considered the best Greco-Roman wrestler of all time, there is no doubt that in 2024 he will hang the fifth Olympic gold medal on his chest.
