With the presence of the Minister of Tourism (Mintur), Juan Carlos García Granda and other officials of the sector, the calendar of events for 2025 was presented this Monday, which includes a total of 235 fairs, conferences, congresses, and other activities.Speaking at the ceremony, Yanet de Armas, director of Events at Mintur, highlighted the importance that the country gives to this type of travel, since Cuba is working to position itself as a destination for the development of meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) tourism, considering the excellent conditions that the country has.
During the activity, recognitions were given to institutions that work to promote MICE tourism, including the Palco hotel in the Cuban capital, and the Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero, the extra-hotel company Palmares and the Meliá hotel group.
The calendar includes, in addition to events related to tourism such as the FitCuba International Fair -to be held in the Cuban capital next May- those of important sectors such as commerce, health, science, education and culture.
The ceremony concluded with a show by the famous Tropicana cabaret, venue for this important presentation.
