National Design Office in Cuba promotes efforts for a better country

The National Design Office (ONDi) in Cuba is betting on the development and promotion of this tool to boost the country's economy, its director, Gisela Herrero, said.

 

Speaking at the Mesa Redonda (Round Table) radio and TV program on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the foundation of ONDi, Herrero recalled that this branch occupies an important place on the agenda of the Caribbean nation. With the slogan 'Best Design, Best Country,' ONDi supports essential branches of the social and economic life of Cuba, such as tourism, industry and, amid the fight against Covid-19, support provided to the health sector. The entity celebrated its 40th anniversary on July 9 with a recognition by the country's highest authorities. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted on occasion of the date that the work carried out by ONDi members due to their 'tireless search, promotion and creation of spaces where utility, beauty and sustainability make up an environment increasingly close to prosperity.'
