New flight from Russia arrives in Varadero

A flight of the Russian airline Nordwind, coming from Moscow, arrived on Wednesday at the Juan Gualberto Gomez international airport in the coastal resort of Varadero.

The Cubatur agency welcomed the flight and wished the Russian holidaymakers a happy stay in the country as part of a trip that means the resumption of tourist flights from the Russian capital to Cuba.

Nordwind Airlines is a Moscow-based charter company that began operations in December 2008 with two Boeing 757-200s.

Its main operation base is Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport.

Nordwind Airlines’ fleet consists of aircraft with an average age of 13.4 years (September 2022), including Airbus A321-231, Boeing 777-200ER and 300 among other variants of these models.
