The Fernando Alonso National Ballet School and the National Center for Art Schools are calling for the XXXI International Meeting of Academies for Ballet Education, which will take place from March 27 to April 5, 2026.

The announcement encourages students and professionals in the field, both national and international, to participate in the intergenerational educational exchange regarding this artistic manifestation.

Our event, recognized as one of the most prestigious platforms for exchange and advancement within the academic sphere at an international level, will dedicate its XXXI edition to dance as a prominent expression of art, culture, and the identity of peoples, as highlighted in the statement.

As part of the academic and pedagogical development of the meeting, the Course on Methodology for Historical and/or Ballroom Dances will be presented for the first time, conducted by the Cuban Ballet School, corresponding to its first cycle, revealed the organizing committee.

The program will also include ballet classes and lectures on pointe work, classical duets, repertoire, physical preparation, historical and/or ballroom dances, folklore, and modern dance techniques, all taught by esteemed educators and dancers from both the Cuban school and around the world.

Additionally, workshops, a dance critique competition, artistic performances in various venues across the Cuban capital, and other activities will be offered to promote cultural exchange.

The registration deadline will extend until February 10, 2026, and interested parties can find further details on the social media platforms of the organizing entities or via email at academiasballetcuba@gmail.com.
