The Varadero Gourmet International Festival will be held from September 11 to 13 in its usual headquarters in Plaza América with the objective that professionals linked to the gastronomy are informed about the latest developments in the sector in the largest of the Antilles, an occasion that It will also allow to publicize the news regarding products and services.

As in previous years, this 14th edition will develop numerous activities, including the exhibition fair, an academic program with interesting conferences on topics such as such as: the tradition of haute cuisine, evolutionary cocktails; knowledge, skills and modernity of Habano sommeliers in Cuba and teaching in gastronomy, among other topics.

Also, there will be various workshops on topics related to the sector, taught by renowned professionals. As for the skills, they include those related to culinary preparations, canteen techniques, tasting and pairing with cigars, stand design and animation techniques, whose awards are scheduled for the last day of the event and tastings will also be held of typical dishes and drinks of Cuban Creole cuisine.

The juries for each specialty will be made up of members selected from the Culinary Federation of Cuba, the Association of Bartenders of Cuba and the Training Center of Tourism “José Smith Comas”, attached to Mintur. This edition will have as its main theme the evolution of Gastronomy in Cuba and is organized by the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), the Cubasol group and Empresa Extra Palmares hotel, among other entities.
