Since 1996, in various parts of the planet, every second Friday of October marks World Egg Day, a day promoted by a certain International Egg Association (IEA), formed by producing and commercial entities of the basic and nutritious food.
This year, the celebration for such food corresponds to Friday the 13th and its promoters created a very appropriate motto: “Eggs for a healthy future". Mr. egg deserves it, because being as old or older than the eggs themselves, taking into account that the order of appearance of those parts has not yet been tested, it could be said that it has accompanied humans forever and has helped them ensure an adequate and very healthy nutrition, without talking about excesses, of course.
We leave aside, therefore, the respectable entity sponsoring the good idea. It is not necessary, because really that food has always been liked very much among Cubans, who consider it very tasty, as well as beneficial for health. Here we do not have to insist too much on its benefits, quite well-known, for which it has been for many years a priority of the national diet.
Here it is natural to ingest it like in the rest of the world, forming part of the breakfast menu, or midday lunch, or dinner and as a topping for the most traditional pastries, that is, morning, afternoon and night it can appear in different ways.
Not only chicken eggs are in demand, whether the so-called Creole or farm. Also certain recipes or exquisite dishes have as protagonists the super nutritious quail or quail eggs, just to continue talking about the embryos from the birds. There is also the select pleasure of searching for hawksbill eggs, a chelonian, but it seems to me that we are getting off topic.
Well yes, those who promote these days that humans from any part of the world do not lose the habit of counting on the marvelous egg for their usual diet, whenever it can be and used wisely.
And the governments and commercial entities that are dedicated to promoting their production act responsibly and sensibly. It is something that should not be damaged by global warming or climate change, droughts, nor frosts, desertification or storms, so repeated in current days .
