Present at Prodexpo 2021 special supplement on Cuba CubaPLUS
A special edition of the Canadian magazine CubaPLUS is distributed at the recently inaugurated PRODEXPO 2021, the main food fair in Russia, with extensive information on the main exportable offers of the most important agro-industrial companies in Cuba.
The publication, edited in Russian and English with the collaboration of Prensa Latina, includes the numerous possibilities of the Cuban agri-food sector for export, as well as the technical and scientific advances of this sector in the largest of the Antilles.
In its preamble, it includes words by Moraima Céspedes, director of International Affairs of the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture, who makes an overview of the island's efforts in favor of achieving food sovereignty and security. She also refers to the country's interest in promoting comprehensive agroindustrial projects that increase food production, promote sustainable development and increase efficiency.
With that objective, adds the official, businesses with foreign capital in Cuban agribusiness are aimed at modernizing and increasing installed capacities and import substitution.
For his part, Aleksandr Bogatyr, commercial representative of the Russian Federation in Cuba, highlights the magnificent ties of friendship and cooperation, mutually advantageous that both countries have maintained for many years and, adds, that “We value the fact the Cuban leadership assigns Russia the role of priority partner in carrying out its plans to modernize the national economy and guarantee energy and food security ”.
The publication, which will be of great value to those interested in learning about the agri-food sector of the largest island in the Caribbean, includes information from the Tropical Fruit Research Institute, the “Valle del Yabú” agricultural company in Villa Clara; Tropical Contramaestre s.a., in Santiago de Cuba, the business group of Tabaco de Cuba (TABACUBA), Grupo Empresarial Agropecuario y Forestal Artemisa and the agro-industrial company Ceballos, Ciego de Avila, among other entities.
The 28th edition of PRODEXPO, inaugurated this Monday at the EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds in Moscow, will conclude on Friday the 16th and will be attended by around 1,500 companies from 44 countries.
