The young Cuban jazz group, Real Project has just released the video clip: Raga, a new installment that is part of the visual album GES, now available on the band's YouTube channel.
A press release released by the group adds that the new installment "is a way of reasoning our syncretism and identity, based on its connection with foreign inheritances and their reinterpretation.
In this video, the local becomes universal, the history and the details of small communities become relevant beyond their spatial and temporal borders. Thus, a timeless and inevitable transculturation is defined as the axis, which we try to reinterpret from its derivations and possible imagined worlds", stated its directors.
On this occasion in the making of the audiovisual, the creative team made up of the Sindicato collective is repeated, under the direction of Daniel Santoyo, Mauricio Llópiz and Camilo Súrez, with production by Mauricio Valera Hermida, in collaboration with i4films, an audiovisual creation group.
Raga -third track of the Real Project phonogram - GES (BisMusic, 2019) is an unpublished song that Silvio Rodríguez, a prominent Cuban singer-songwriter, gave Enrique Carballea so that he could see the light on this album and whose arrangements were in charge of guitarist Roberto Luis Gómez, former member of the band.
The new video clip, as well as the visual album it composes, is the result of an alliance between the Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), the BisMusic Record House, and the Cuban Institute of Music.
