Renovated Plaza America in Varadero will host FITCuba-2022 Fair

A renovated Plaza America and its Convention Center will host the upcoming XL International Tourism Fair (FITCuba-2022), which will relaunch the Cuban tourism product, a source from the industry informed  today. 

Those attending the main commercial exchange of the sector in the country will find halls prepared and set up with new technologies, according to the demands of the moment," Zulema Afá, event organizer of the facility, said to Prensa Latina.

Three rooms and other areas were expanded to provide more facilities to customers, and we have the strength of WiFi included and, above all, with the required biosanitary measures against Covid-19," the specialist informed.

Plaza America is located in the famous beach resort of Varadero, the largest and most important of the island located in the western province of Matanzas, and is a building consisting of two floors: the upper floor for meetings of all kinds and the second floor with the commercial area.

Afá explained that in this zone the service areas were increased with car rental points, the Marlin Marina, as well as the Artisans Fair, which serves several entities that promote cultural products.

The expert specified that on the upper level, in the plenary and room G, stand out the equipment for video projection, audio and language translation systems.

The structural systems of the Plaza were remodeled, the floors were replaced, the restrooms were rehabilitated and the restaurant, cafeteria and bar services were upgraded, she informed.

FITCuba will include three simultaneous forums for business, technology and events and incentives, as well as a fair of exhibitors and suppliers to tourism, and will have activities all over the pole," she affirmed.

We have improved all services to tourists in the country, and in the sector we have worked hard on the issue of accessible and sustainable tourism, on technology such as the Varadero Digital City project and, in general, everything we can offer our customers," she emphasized.
