The Old Man and the Sea, one of the flagship accommodations of the Marina Hemingway, will be operated from next January by the Iberian chain Roc Hoteles, according to a official statement released this Wednesday in Havana.
SWith a 4-star category, the facility, belonging to the Cubanacan Group, will begin to be called Hotel Roc El Viejo y El Mar and with this will add six accommodations managed by the Iberian entity on the island. The remaining properties operated by Roc Hoteles in the largest of the Antilles are: the Roc Presidente (Havana), Roc Casa del Mar (Cayo Santa María), Roc Barlovento, Roc Varadero and Roc Arenas Doradas, on the famous blue beach.
The chain, whose operations in Cuba began in 2013, is committed to position El Viejo y el Mar in international markets, for which standards and work procedures, recognized among its guests.
The Cubanacan hotel group, which has just celebrated its 36th anniversary, has a total of 117 hotels with more than 16 thousand rooms in the main destinations in the country, including Havana, Varadero, Holguín, Santa Lucía and Trinidad under the 4-star Brisas brands on the beachfront; club friend with 3 stars also on the beach; 2 and 4 star Cubanacan designed for long stays; Horizons, especially for nature lovers and E hotels, small accommodations linked to culture.
