Santiago de Cuba is getting ready for another kind of earthquake, a hell of a party that makes everything tremble by the beat of "la conga"... Yep, we are talking about Cuba's hottest carnival, in the Land of Fire... Once again La Alameda avenue is the heart of this celebration. This street will host the magnificent parade of floats, groups and dances, which are significant expressions of the traditional popular culture.
The carnival will be held from July 21st to 27th to continue the celebrations of the Caribbean International Festival, to be hosted in this city from July 3rd to 9th dedicated to the culture of Bonaire Island. Enrique Bonne, granted the National Award of Music and very linked to the carnival with his Tambores, supports this genuinely popular event, which should keep its original features and basic spirit to avoid becoming a fair given the changes brought in by modernity.
