As usual, ExpoCuba will host the Havana International Fair from November 24 to 29, reaffirming its importance for the island’s trade exchange as well as for other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during a press conference by Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, who explained that the rescheduling to late November is due to the expected reduction in cyclone season risks during that period.
He also informed that exhibitors who participated in the previous edition, which was suspended due to the impact of Hurricane Rafael, will receive a 30 percent discount on their participation fees, while the prices for exhibition spaces will remain unchanged.
Later, he outlined the program planned for this 41st edition, which includes the Investment Forum, product presentations, thematic fairs, specialized conferences, and the updated launch of the Portfolio of Business Opportunities with Foreign Capital, particularly focused on projects aimed at the country’s economic development.
Participants will also be updated on the latest progress of the Government Program designed to correct distortions and reinvigorate the economy.
As is tradition at this event, National Days will be held to pay tribute to the participating countries.
During the press conference, Rafael Alejandro Rodríguez, Director of Pabexpo, announced that 21 countries have already confirmed their attendance at the upcoming fair, demonstrating the event’s prestige and international appeal.
The press conference, held at Havana’s Palco Hotel and attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country as well as representatives of national and international media, was also attended by Antonio Luis Carricarte, President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, among other officials from the sector.
