The San José rum factory is 14 years old
The San José rum factory celebrates its 14th anniversary this Saturday with the satisfaction of having become a benchmark in the Cuban industry for its high technological capacity and the extraordinary quality of its productions.
Located in the town of San José de las Lajas, the main municipality of the Mayabeque province, the facility is the main producer of aged and extra aged rums of the Havana Club brand.
A press release released by Havana Club S.A. on its website, it adds that in 2020, despite the difficult health situation caused by Covid-19, the factory achieved excellent results, thanks to the efforts of its workers, by producing 1,500,000 9-liter cases of brandy, more than 4.2 million liters, a double-digit growth.
Extraordinary has been the impetus put into the creation of new products such as Havana Club Cuban Smoky, the Professional Editions, the Tribute collection and Havana Club 1519 that reaffirm innovation as the key pillar for the development of the brand, adds the information.
It is important to mention, according to the announcement, that the factory has managed to produce spirits for more than 500 days without accidents, a reflection of the efficiency of the measures adopted for the safety and health of its workers while maintaining the commitment to reduce the emission of carbon into the atmosphere, in order to minimize the impact of its production on the environment.
Built and managed by the Havana Club International SA joint venture, the San José rum factory currently boasts the technological conditions, human capital and rum reserves necessary to respond to current and future market demands, with the aim that Cuba and its Havana Club rum continues to make consumers around the world fall in love with it, the note ends.
