Mexico, guest of honor at the 30th International Book Fair in Havana, sent thousands of texts that will be present at the Aztec stand of this important literary meeting, to be held from February 10 to 20.
The copies arrived at the Havana port this Sunday aboard the Huasteco ship of the Mexican Navy, which was received by the president of the Cuban Book Institute, Juan Rodríguez, the ambassador of that country in Cuba, Miguel Díaz Reynosa, and other officials from the island.
In addition to the books that will be exhibited at the fair, the load includes numerous texts donated for cultural and educational institutions of the largest of the Antilles.
According to the Mexican newspaper El Dictamen, the &Havana Book Fair" Logistics Cruise, as the operation has been called, will be shipped in two phases: the first, which includes the transportation of the books and effects necessary to assemble the exhibition and the second will be the next day 14, when the personnel of the Ministry of Culture and the Secretary of the Navy who will participate in the event will be transported.
It also points out that they conceive the fair as a space for dialogue between the literatures of Latin America, Europe and those from other cultures, while offering an important space for Mexico to participate in a cultural, professional, academic and literary exchange at international level.
With this, adds the newspaper, the Secretary of the Navy of Mexico strengthens cultural exchange, reinforcing unity, support and collaboration at the international level.
