Three beaches next to Meliá Cuba, facilities among the best in 2024

Three coastal areas located next to accommodations managed by Meliá Hotels Cuba are included in the “Best Beaches 2024” report, prepared by the International Center for Training in Beach Management and Certification (CIFPLAYAS) and the Federal University of Rio Grande (Brazil).

According to a press release by the Spanish company, the relationship was created by managers and academics, who considered a conceptual-methodological framework based on which beach was analyzed according to four parameters: recreation, protection, conservation and health.

According to these criteria –broken down into carefully evaluated indicators– the Meliá beach The Antilles, ranked as the best among all those analyzed, with a score of 95 out of 100. To achieve this, several aspects were taken into account, including environmental quality, protection from storms, services and infrastructure. The beach of this facility, located in the famous resort of Varadero, is characterized by its fine white sand, its blue waters and transparent, and good conservation and restoration of its dunes and vegetation.

It has an impeccable integrated management system and offers all the beach services tourism, with sustainable design and exploitation, says the study. For its part, the Meliá Internacional Varadero appears in the ranking for the second consecutive year and, on this occasion, is located in fourth place, with an index of 93/100 for its stunning stretch of white sands and turquoise waters, while nearby Perla Blanca to the Paradisus Los Cayos hotel in Cayo Santa María - holds eighth place, with a score of 90/100.

This year's report was prepared by 46 experts, including oceanographers, engineers, geographers, chemists and educators, who applied the parameters studied of 123 sites of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

Having been placed at the top of the ranking, these three beaches, linked to the management of Meliá Cuba show the company's commitment to sustainability and to offer each traveler the best experience.
