The Corporate Group Flora and Fauna, belonging to the Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture, announced the next opening of new tourist facilities in Baracoa, in the Cuban east.
Among the proposals are a sale office to offer its nature tourism products and the opening of a bar-cafeteria in the viewpoint of Punta del Silencio, located in the highest in the road that connects to the first village with the neighboring municipality of Maisí and from where the beautiful marine terraces can be enjoyed.
In the same way it will enlarge the dock capacity for boats which offer boat tours for the rivers Toa and Yumurí and the Taco Bay that possesses the best protected marine ecosystem of the country whose waters inhabit the manati, the only one living marine herbivore mammal of Cuba, as informed to the press Mauro Cala, director of this group in Baracoa.
This region of the archipelago’s northeastern end is known by its natural beauty and it is current positioned as one of the most important destinations for eco-tourism in the Cuban east.
After being whipped by the powerful hurricane Matthew in October 2016 and for Irma one year later, Baracoa achieved in record time the total recovery of the damaged facilities and the implementation of new offers and services for the national and foreign tourism.
About twenty paths and other options for hiking and nature tourism make of this place one of the favorite destinations of Canadians, Germans, Spaniards and other hundreds of visitors that every year coming to meet with this paradisiac region.
