Video clip recorded "Era", tribute to Alicia Alonso
The audiovisual "Era", a posthumous tribute to Prima Ballerina Assoluta, Alicia Alonso, was filmed in different locations in the Gran Teatro de la Habana and the capital, under the direction of Cuban director Pedro Pulido, says a press release from the Institute Latino of Music (ILM).
The new film is a deserved tribute to Alicia Alonso, based on the impact that the work and teachings of the incomparable dancer have meant for new generations.
The music for the new audiovisual was composed by Daniel Martín Subiaut, President of the (ILM), with arrangements by Frank Fernández, who performed together with Ecuadorian violinist Jorge Saade.
With the advice of Gabriel Dávalos and the photography direction of Alexander González, the clip also features the participation of actress Gina Caro -with a special performance- and Patricia Hernández Ortega, first dancer of Laura Alonso's ballet.
The choreography was in charge of Héctor Figueredo Abrantes and the dramatic advice was provided by Maitre Lourdes Álvarez. The record company EGREM promoted this work that had reached the first round of the Latin Grammys in the category of Best Recording of the Year. Hjandy Cantero, who had the original idea for the video script, developed it as an executive producer.
