Vitral Paints celebrates 35 years of efficient work
When it comes to efficiency, it is mandatory to mention the company Pinturas Vitral, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this October 2, during which it has developed hard work in favor of supplying the country with this product, which is so important for the preservation of buildings, taking into account the environmental conditions of the tropics.
Leader in the sector in Cuba, the background dates back to 1956, when the island had several factories of foreign brands that after 1959 became part of what was called the Consolidated Company of Cuban Paints and in 1987 became Vitral Paint.
From then to date, this entity has undergone several changes, when it has five Basic Business Units (UEB), of which three are producers and two are marketing entities. Factories are located in Havana, San José in Mayabeque province, and in Nuevitas, Camagüey, whose responsibility is to supply the marketing entities, located in the center and east of the country, respectively, in charge of distributing the products destined for the network.
In addition to the production planned for the national market, Pinturas Vitral has among its projects for the near future the export to some Central American and Caribbean countries, which would contribute to increase earnings in foreign exchange that the country so desperately needs.
In the opinion of its Director, Eng. Luis Alberto Suarez Ibarra, the entity is taking firm steps to achieve better results. Wanting to do things, day to day and systematic work are the keys to achieving efficiency in a company.
"Wanting is power, and if we want to do it, we can do it", he emphasized. Congratulations to all Vitral workers for this anniversary and for their work achievements.
