WAMOS Air will open a route Madrid-Havana-Guatemala City next June, a flight that will link Cuba and Guatemala once again. The Spanish airline announced that this connection will cost about 376 euros per trip.
In the flight, whose final destination will be Guatemala’s International Airport La Aurora, travelers will be able to carry up to 40 kilograms free of luggage in tourist class and 60 kilograms in business class.
Guatemala is the third destination in the region that joins WAMOS Air to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; and to Cancun, in southern Mexico.
However, the authorities of the Guatemalan Tourism Institute are seeking closer ties with other airlines, such as Iberia and Air Europa, with the aim of promoting similar collaborations.
These efforts are linked to Guatemala's commitment to recover its tourism potential and to make that region one of the axes of the nation's development.
