WestJet/Sunwing Resumes Toronto-Cayo Largo del Sur Service

WestJet/Sunwing officially resumed its Toronto to Cayo Largo del Sur route this Tuesday, arriving with 171 Canadian travelers ready to enjoy one of Cuba’s most stunning coastal retreats.

Tortugas (7)-t.jpgThe weekly service will operate every Tuesday through March 24th, catering to the high demand from Canadian vacationers seeking sun and sand. With the return of this route, the destination now boasts three weekly flights during the current peak season.

Located in the Caribbean Sea at the eastern tip of the Los Canarreos Archipelago, Cayo Largo del Sur has earned a reputation as a premier destination for international tourists. It is particularly beloved by Canadians for its secluded atmosphere and untouched serenity.

The island’s landscape is a masterclass in natural beauty, featuring powdery white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Its vibrant ecosystem includes thriving coral reefs and a diverse array of marine life. A highlight of the region’s commitment to ecology is its turtle conservation program, which successfully saves between 10,000 and 25,000 hatchlings annually—an initiative in which many Canadian tourists actively participate.

Mi cayito (5)-t.jpgComplementing its natural charm, Cayo Largo offers a modern selection of three and four-star resorts. These properties are fully equipped with all the amenities a modern traveler expects, including swimming pools, fitness centers, beauty salons, diverse dining options, and full internet and telephone connectivity.

If you are planning a getaway to Cuba, Cayo Largo del Sur is an option you won’t want to miss.
