A new offer is attracting the attention of tourists who visit Cuba, especially the youngest ones, for its facilities, comfort and economic prices.

It is Hotel Vedado Azul, which began operations just four months ago and is already in high demand. The facility, the first of its kind in Cuba, is located in the capital neighbourhood of Vedado, and has a total of 63 comfortable beds for the traveller to relax in comfort after an intense day of walks in the city. Vedado Azul is designed for so called ‘backpackers’, as it lets them share rooms in single gender rooms or mixed gender rooms, whether they come alone or in a group, a common way to travel in many countries of all continents.

The installation has 20 comfortably equipped rooms, with hot and cold water, en suite bathroom and air conditioning. A common recreational area, bar open 24 hours with national and international cocktails and light food; a wide terrace to enjoy the fresh air of the Caribbean, a kitchen diner for breakfast, included in the price, wifi service, security box and bicycle hire for those who want to visit the city in this way.

Zuley Mazorra, Vedado Azul receptionist, explained to CubaPlus that since its inauguration the hostel has already received numerous tourists, especially from Mexico, Haiti, Argentina and Nicaragua, and for the next winter high season, has already many reservations made.

Vedado Azul’s location, close to various historical, cultural and recreational places of interest in the Cuban capital, which this year celebrates its 500th anniversary, constitutes another of its most important features which, for sure, will have a great demand in the near future.
